Ronnie James Dio (Ronald Padovona) started his career as a
trumpetplayer at the age of nine. Then he became the lead-
singer in the bands Ronnie and The Redcaps, Ronnie and the
Prophets and The Electric Elves. Then when he started singing
with ELF, he was discovered by musicians of the legendary
group Deep Purple and Ritchie Blackmore "hired" the band to
help him with his soloproject Rainbow. Ritchie was impressed
by the talent and strength Ronnie James Dio showed and
together with Ronnie they made Rainbow a legendary band.
After a few years Ritchie wanted to play more soft, but Ronnie
wanted to continue his "magic music", so they parted.
Ronnie joined Black Sabbath and gave them some very
successful years. When Ronnie left the band he formed his
own group DIO. His latest release is the amazing Master Of The Moon!
